Product designer

We’re looking for a hands-on Product Designer with deep expertise in UX and a strong track record designing intuitive, high-converting B2C mobile apps and desktop web applications. You will be the central design force inside SportAI — shaping everything from user flows and product strategy to UI systems, branding, and company-wide design tasks.

This role is ideal for someone who loves designing clean, intuitive user experiences that drive activation, engagement, and subscription conversion. You’ll work directly with product and engineering to bring ideas to life, while also supporting marketing with visuals, design assets, and brand storytelling.

A passion for racket sports — especially tennis, padel, or pickleball — is a major advantage. You’ll be designing for athletes, coaches, and sports communities, and your own familiarity will help you make better design decisions.

We’re also looking for someone who actively uses AI tools to accelerate design work, test variations, explore directions, and overall work more efficiently and creatively.

What You’ll Do

Product Design (UX, UI, Web + Mobile, Research)

Own end-to-end design for both mobile and web experiences.
Lead user research and usability testing to identify insights and shape product direction.
Design intuitive interfaces, flows, and interactions optimized for consumer behavior and subscription conversion.
Build prototypes (low- and high-fidelity) to validate ideas quickly and iterate fast.
Collaborate closely with product and engineering to ensure a high-quality implementation.
Maintain and evolve the SportAI design system across platforms.
Create product-led growth experiences that improve activation, retention, and upgrades.
Use AI tools (ChatGPT, image tools, automation, etc.) to speed up creation, ideation, and workflow efficiency.

Who You Are

A hands-on, independent designer who wants full ownership and loves delivering high-quality, impactful work.
4+ years experience in designing B2C mobile apps and websites/applications.
Skilled in creating UX that reduces friction and improves conversion to paid subscriptions.
User-centered thinker who understands the behavior, motivation, and goals of athletes.
Ideally passionate about (racket) sports and excited to design for this audience.
Heavy user of AI tools to enhance creativity, speed, and productivity.
Thrives in a startup: resourceful, fast-moving, collaborative, and adaptable.
Enjoys working closely with founders and product teams.
Based in Oslo (or willing to relocate).

Qualifications

4–7+ years in product design, UX/UI, or consumer-facing application design.
Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence across mobile and desktop web UX.
Experience designing subscription or membership flows.
Proficiency with design tools (Figma) and prototyping methods.
Comfortable owning both product design and brand-related design tasks.
Bonus: experience in sports tech, fitness, or performance-driven consumer apps.
