OSLO, NORWAY, 22 JANUARY 2025 – SportAI has announced new funding of $805k (9.1M NOK) supported by grants from Innovation Norway and the Eurostars program.* This funding builds on SportAI’s previous $1.8M seed round led by Skyfall Ventures in August 2024 and a $750k pre-seed round in January 2024.
The Innovation Norway grant is part of the organization’s initiative to support startups with strong growth potential and groundbreaking business ideas. The grant was partly secured due to SportAI’s first commercial contract with the racquet sports booking platform MATCHi, signed last year.
Eurostars, a program within the Eureka Network, focuses on promoting international R&D collaboration among innovative SMEs. Through this grant, SportAI will collaborate with Danish electronics developer Amfitech ApS to use sensor-based motion data, enhancing the company’s computer vision models for improved performance tracking.
SportAI’s AI-powered sports technique analysis technology aims to democratize access to high-quality sports performance insights, a key factor in securing these funding opportunities. The company continues to push forward with innovations that reflect the growing trend of AI-driven performance analysis in sports where new technologies are reshaping both athlete development and fan engagement.
These milestones position SportAI for continued growth and technological leadership in the global sports industry.
